In digestors and fermenters such as those used in biogas production through anerobic fermentation of biomass, it often happens that hydraulic valves used as a safety device require such careful and constant monitoring that secondary safety systems must be installed. In this kind of application, rupture discs are the ideal solution.
DonadonSDD’s DIF and LPD model rupture discs are set for extremely low pressures (up to 5 millibar) and thus perfectly suited for installation in biogas production plants. Besides being easy to install, they are also perfectly airtight and very versatile, and they only have maintenance costs when they actually rupture – thus avoiding far more expensive damage.
