The primary characteristic of compression rupture discs (the Reverse Buckling models) is their ability to maintain curvature, and thus a stable performance, until inversion pressure is reached; this allows them to easily boast working pressure to inversion pressure ratios around 90%, even in the presence of counterpressures; these bursting discs are often also autosupporting against vacuum.
