DONADONSDD DCD rupture disc for aseptic applications consists of:
• a slotted, perforated metal part
• a seal membrane (usually in PTFE but also available in a wide range of materials)
• a protection section
This disc is excellent for use with gas and liquids under static conditions and also for low pressures. The DCD disc reacts to overpressures with total opening in a few milliseconds and without fragmentation. Supports can be provided for vacuum and counter-pressure protection.
DonadonSDD composite rupture discs can protect against vacuum and pressure simultaneously.
PTFE gaskets, which are certified in compliance with FDA and USP class VI, 3-A and Eu 10/2011 regulations, facilitate the installation in Clamp fittings (sanitary, Tri-Clamp, Tank Connection). DCD rupture discs are designed for C.O.P. (Clean-Out-Of-Place) applications.
